About the role

Atriabyte is hiring a Software Engineer to own mobile development across the company's products. The role is hands-on. You will be Atriabyte's mobile-first engineer, working alongside the technical co-founder and the six clinician founders who direct product decisions.

The team is small — six practising physicians and one full-time engineer today. The mobile surface area of Atriabyte's products is in active use across multiple Greek teaching hospitals; bringing it dedicated engineering attention is the point of this hire.

Responsibilities

  • Own the iOS and Android development of Atriabyte's mobile products end-to-end — feature work, performance, releases, and crash-free quality.
  • Maintain a thoughtful pace of App Store and Play Store releases, including coordinating with hospital training programmes when their academic calendars demand it.
  • Translate clinical workflow requirements into mobile UX, working directly with the physician founders.
  • Contribute to the shared backend where mobile features require server changes.
  • Take occasional support and onboarding calls with clinician users. The current volume is small; the value of being close to users is large.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of professional engineering experience, including production iOS and Android work that has shipped to the App Store and Play Store.
  • Strong experience with .NET MAUI or Flutter or React Native — Atriabyte will consider any of the three. Native Swift / Kotlin alone is not the right fit for this role.
  • Comfortable working across the mobile / backend boundary when a feature requires it.
  • Fluent Greek required — for occasional clinician support calls and to keep written communication with users idiomatic.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare, financial, or similar) is a plus, not a requirement.

Compensation and terms

  • Base compensation: €1,600 / month, gross. This is candidly below market for senior European engineers, and Atriabyte will not negotiate it upward. Equity and the nature of the work carry the rest of the offer.
  • Meaningful equity participation as one of the first engineering hires.
  • Fully remote within the EU. Greek-resident or Greek-diaspora candidates only, given the language requirement.
  • Direct involvement in roadmap decisions. With a team this small, every engineer is in the room when decisions are made.
  • A team where the founders are clinicians, decisions are made on first principles, and there is no layer of management between you and the work.
